The Bishops

 

S. Saviour's is within the Diocese of Lichfield so from time to time you may see one of the bishops here. Bishop Michael is the Bishop of Lichfield and he is assisted in this area by Bishop Matthew who is the Bishop of Stafford - you can read more about them here.  Due to our theological beliefs regarding the ordination of women as priests and bishops the PCC have asked Bishop Michael that we be placed under the care of the Bishop of Oswestry, Bishop Paul Thomas SSC.
